It's not uncommon for a website to unexpectedly hit the news or be tweeted by someone with a million followers. It happens far more frquently than you might think.

This morning I went to visit a site that appeared on a popular tweet, http://www.cuddleclones.com, and their website wasn't available.

If your business looks to it's website for clients then you might think this is the equivalent of winning the lottery. Well it could be, if you have planned for this possibility otherwise it could be a disaster.

What do you need to do. Well a good solidly built website is a start, get the hosting right and appropriate to your normal needs. Then install or subscribe to Netprecept's vAC. Why? because then you don't have to spend a fortune on hosting just in case you win that lottery. It will manage the users on your website. It will never get more than it can handle. Those already on the website or in the process of a purchase won't be effected by the rush of users. The excess users can be queued or diverted to an alternate website, you Facebook page even. The point is your website won't crash, you won't lose out on the rush of interest and you won't have to fork out a fortune on hosting you don't need 99.999% of the time.
